The Royal Mint appoints Amanda Brady as its new Chief People Officer.

As part of the 1,100-year-old organisation’s ongoing reinvention and commitment to its workforce, Amanda’s role will lead a team of 15 including HR, organisational design and development, internal communications and shared people services. Amanda will work to drive people transformation and change across The Royal Mint through a time of significant growth and will further develop its positive culture, with a key focus on driving its commitment to Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI).

Having started her career as a graduate with the Hilton brand, Amanda has since developed her commercial strategic HR experience, holding senior leadership roles – a mix of B2B, B2C, D2C and consumer - in various large international companies, including at Hilton, Marriott, GE Healthcare, Lloyds Pharmacy, Spirit Group, and Prezzo.

With a wealth of experience working in large multi-site consumer and manufacturing environments, Amanda was most recently Executive Human Resources Director at Tata Steel. Previously, during her tenure at Whitbread’s Premier Inn as HR Director, she was instrumental in developing a successful HR function and Whitbread-wide shared service to support their market-leading brands. 

With demonstrable experience in change management leadership, anticipating the need for change from a strategic perspective and acting as the strategic lead in the initiation of organisational development, Amanda will bring her vast experience to The Royal Mint, working closely with CEO Anne Jessopp and the wider Executive team to support the Royal Mint in its growth objectives, alongside offering professional HR advice and guidance to senior leaders.

The Royal Mint Experience

The Royal Mint opened its popular visitor centre, The Royal Mint Experience, at its home in Llantrisant, South Wales in 2016. Since opening the award-winning attraction has welcomed around 400,000 visitors through its doors and is the place to explore the 1,100-year history of coins.
