The Battle of Waterloo marked the end of the long-running Napoleonic Wars. A multinational army led by the Duke of Wellington and Prussian army commanded by Field Marshal Blücher defeated the French force led by Napoleon Bonaparte, who sought control over the European continent. The conflict left an indelible mark on history and had a significant impact on British coinage.  

This premium collector’s set features 2024 and 2025-dated commemorative coins alongside a George III sixpence and a George IV crown, with the latter two coins serving as physical representations of the impact the Napoleonic Wars had on British coinage. The commemorative coins in this set feature remastered depictions of the obverse and reverse designs Benedetto Pistrucci created for his sublime Waterloo Medal.
