I have a £2 coin with a portrait of the Queen wearing a necklace. Is this rare or valuable?

The portrait of Her Late Majesty Queen Elizabeth II wearing a necklace was designed by Raphael Maklouf and appeared on UK circulating coins from 1985 to 1997.

Although the new bi-colour £2 coin was not released until 1998, millions of £2 coins dated 1997 had already been struck featuring this portrait and were released at the same time.

As a result, these coins are not considered particularly rare, although they remain popular with collectors.
